How to Manage Security Settings
Select the Settings button.
Alternatively, you can click the profile picture in the upper, right-hand corner of the screen and select Profile Settings.
Both of these methods will take you to the Profile Settings page.
Update Password
The "Update Password" section is only displayed for Users who created their account using an email and password. Users registered with an Apple or Google account cannot access password settings.
In the Profile Settings page, scroll down to the Update Password section.
In the Current Password field, enter your existing password. Then, in the New Password and Confirm Password fields, enter your desired new password.
Finally, select the Save button to apply your changes.
Two Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a crucial layer of security to your Vamp account beyond just your password. By requiring a second verification step, it significantly protects your account from unauthorized access. We highly recommend enabling it for enhanced security.
Enable Two Factor Authentication
In Profile Settings page, scroll down to the Two Factor Authentication section and select Enable.
If this is your first time enabling two-factor authentication, a Confirm Password pop-up may appear. In this pop-up, enter your account password and then select Confirm proceed.
The Two Factor Authentication section in the Profile Settings page should now display a QR code and a Setup Key.
Open your phone’s authenticator application. Either scan the QR code or manually enter the Setup Key into your app to add your Vamp account.
Finally, once your account is added to the app, provide the generated OTP code from your authenticator app in the Code field and select Confirm.
Disable Two Factor Authentication
In the Profile Settings page, scroll down to the Two Factor Authentication section and select Disable.
Disabling Two Factor Authentication (2FA) will severely compromise the security of your Vamp account. Your account will become significantly more vulnerable to unauthorized access, as it will then be protected only by your password. We strongly advise against disabling 2FA unless absolutely necessary. If you proceed, ensure you use an extremely strong, unique, and complex password to mitigate the increased risk.
Access/Regenerate Recovery Codes
You can only access or regenerate recovery codes when two-factor authentication is enabled for your account.
It is crucial to store your recovery codes in a secure location (e.g., a secure password manager or encrypted drive). These codes are essential for recovering access to your account if you lose your authenticator device or cannot generate an OTP.
In the Profile Settings page, scroll down to the Two Factor Authentication section, where you will find a list of your recovery codes.
To generate a new set of recovery codes, click the Regenerate Recovery Codes button.
Please note that regenerating recovery codes will immediately invalidate any previously generated codes. It is crucial to securely save the new list of codes in a safe place (e.g., a secure password manager or encrypted drive) as soon as they are generated. The old codes will no longer work for account recovery.
Browser Sessions
Regularly reviewing and managing your active browser sessions is a key step in maintaining your account's security. It allows you to monitor where your account is currently logged in and terminate any sessions you no longer recognize or wish to keep active.
In the Profile Settings page, scroll down to the Browser Sessions section.
In the Browser sessions section, you will see a list of some of your recent active sessions.
Please be aware that the sessions list may not be exhaustive, meaning there might be other active sessions not displayed here. If you suspect any unauthorized activity on your account, ensure you log out of all other sessions and immediately update your password.
To log out of all active sessions on other browsers and devices (excluding your current one), select the Log Out Other Browser Sessions button.
